The reservation breakup across the 30 posts is 5 SC, 2 ST, 8 OBC, 3 EWS and 12 UR/General. The notification also provides horizontal PwBD reservation within the advertised vacancies.
Educational Qualification
1. General Stream – 25 Posts
Candidates must possess any one of the following:
- Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma of at least two years’ duration in any discipline; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or
- ACA/FCA from ICAI; or
- ACS/FCS from ICSI; or
- ACMA/FCMA from ICMAI; or
- CFA from CFA Institute.
The Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma must meet the equivalence requirements specified in the notification.
2. Research Stream – 2 Posts
Candidates must possess a relevant Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma of at least two years’ duration in areas including:

3. Actuary Stream – 2 Posts
Candidates must have:
Graduation from a recognized University/Institute AND pass or exemption in all seven Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) Examination.
4. Official Language (Rajbhasha) – 1 Post
Candidates must possess the prescribed Master’s qualification in Hindi/Hindi Translation, Sanskrit, English, Economics or Commerce with the required Hindi/English subject combination at Bachelor’s level, as specified in the notification.
Age Limit
The maximum age is 30 years as on 31 July 2026.
Therefore, candidates must have been born on or after 01 August 1996.
Age relaxation is applicable as per the conditions mentioned in the official notification:

- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD-OBC: 13 years
- PwBD-SC/ST: 15 years

The selection process consists of three stages:
Phase I – Online Screening Examination
Phase I consists of two papers, each carrying 100 marks.

There is 1/4th negative marking for wrong answers in both Phase I papers. Candidates must secure the prescribed cut-offs in individual papers as well as the aggregate to qualify for Phase II. Phase I marks are used only for shortlisting and are not counted in final selection.
Phase II – Online Examination
Phase II consists of two papers.
Paper I – English Descriptive Test
This paper tests English drafting skills.

Paper II – Stream-Specific
For General Stream, Paper II covers subjects including Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, Economics, Pension Sector, AI, Media, Marketing & Communication.

Candidates qualifying in Phase II will be shortlisted for the interview.

Final Selection Weightage
The final selection is based on:
- Phase II Written Examination – 85%
- Phase III Interview – 15%
Phase I marks are not included in the final merit calculation.

PFRDA Grade A Salary 2026
The Officer Grade A pay scale is:
₹62,500 – 3,600 (4) – ₹76,900 – 4,050 (7) – ₹1,05,250 – EB – 4,050 (4) – ₹1,21,450 – 4,650 (1) – ₹1,26,100
The scale extends over 17 years.
The approximate gross monthly emoluments at the minimum of the scale are ₹2,05,000, including applicable allowances and PFRDA’s NPS contribution.
Selected officers will also be eligible for benefits such as medical expenses, leave fare concession, personal accident insurance, children’s education allowance, learning allowance, housing allowance and other benefits applicable to PFRDA Grade A officers.
Probation and Posting
Selected Officer Grade A candidates will undergo two years of probation.
PFRDA currently has offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. Selected candidates may be posted at either office and are also liable to serve anywhere in India according to the requirements of the Authority.
